Scripture
Ask and keep asking and you will receive. Seek and keep seeking and you will find. Knock and keep knocking and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7
Ask, Seek and Knock
"God is for you... not against you!" That may seem terribly obvious, but consider also how many people seem to have gotten the message that God is not for them. I talk to people every week for which religion has somehow given them the idea that God is against them, waiting to punish them and always judging and never accepting!
But be sure of this one thing; you were created by God to be happy, successful and filled with a deep sense of the joy of life! There is a bigger God available to you; a God who says to you, "Seek and you shall find; ask and you shall receive; knock and it shall be opened to you."
The difficulty that most of us have is that we do not realize that we already have all the potential we need to have a fulfilled life of faith!
If you have the desire to have a faith that can overcome your life's major problems and long for a richer relationship with God that can help you pack more life and joy into living, you are on your way. Gather up your courage to engage in the great adventure!
Jesus said, "If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, nothing shall be impossible for you." Plant a seed of hope with God and check on it regularly. Water it; do not forget all about the garden you have begun. Do not let it get chocked out by the weeds of worry and negativism.
I would like to ask you to do something this next week. Write these words on the back of a business and read it several times each day. Carry this little card with you and be reminded of the amazing divine promise, "Nothing shall be impossible!"
Prayer
God, thank you for your promise of hope that through you, nothing is impossible. Amen
